Beulah Valley Trailblazers 4-H Club Our program offers youth who have no access to a horse, a chance to learn to ride and care for horses. By using our horses and several of our show mules they have learned basic horsemanship, how to drive, and have gained confidence in the show pen.
We also have youth who do have thier own horses. They range in age from ages 8 to age 16.
Jennifer Carlson , shown below is showing AQHA and spends her leisure time helping with my 4-H club. She has been in my club since she was a little girl and Jenny is now a 21 year old young lady now. This was Jenny's last year to show with her own Quarter Horse Executive VP, and she was Reserve Champion English youth at our County Fair in Pueblo,CO. She also got 100 % on her final test.
Jenny, I am so proud of you!!!!!!!! (and VP too)
The rewards of working with a group of youth is just way more than I could describe. They are a joy to be around.
